Metaphor says this buffed gun just became ‘the best AR in Warzone’

Following the Oct. 23 Warzone patch, multiple Assault Rifles received nerfs, including the M13B and Kastov 762. However, the already-decent M4 received a damage buff to close-mid damage range making it one of the best assault rifles in the game.

Warzone content creator Metaphor shared his favorite loadout for the M4 on Oct. 24, saying that it is one of the best ARs in the game especially for mouse and keyboard players.

“This gun is finally the best gun in the game, in my opinion,” the Toronto Ultra content creator said. “This is a double buff for the M4—not only did the M4 get buffed, other guns got nerfed.”

“The best part about the M4 is as a mouse and keyboard user, this gun’s actually very good. What’s special and unique about M4 is that it has the same damage to limbs as it does anywhere else. If you’re shooting people in the arms and legs, you’re not actually being penalized, and it feels great.”

His M4 was equipped with a Hightower 20″ barrel, Cronen OP44 muzzle, FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel grip, and a 45-round magazine. There’s also some tuning involved in all of the attachments to get the most from them all.

Throughout the gameplay, Metaphor used the M4 along with a Lachmann Shroud submachine gun. The M4 was there primarily for mid-range fights and proved to be deadly accurate. Depending on your playstyle, you might opt to run it with a Sniper Rifle as your secondary for long-range engagements, but that is completely up to you.

The M4 is a great choice for ARs and many are happy it’s getting more love, but it’s not the only viable rifle in the game. Other players and creators agree that multiple weapons, including the nerfed TR-76 Geist, will be solid picks in Warzone.

So don’t feel forced to devote yourself to the M4, the AR meta should be way more balanced after the Oct. 23 patch and open the floor for more guns to be on top.
