Every Mythic skin in Overwatch 2 and how to unlock them

Overwatch 2's Mythic Skins are customizable and visually striking, but they aren't cheap.

Every Overwatch 2 season adds a new Mythic Skin. They used to be earnable through the premium battle pass, along with their additional cosmetic options. Now, you can only buy Mythic Skins from the Mythic Shop using Mythic Prisms from the paid Battle Pass.

Every Mythic Skin costs 50 Mythic Prisms, and its three subsequent cosmetic upgrades cost 10 Mythic Prisms each, so to max out a skin, you need 80 Prisms in total.

Here’s every Mythic Skin that’s ever been available in Overwatch 2, alongside the season it appeared in, what it looks like, and how to unlock it—if you still can.

At the time of writing, there are 11 Mythic Skins in Overwatch 2, but only the one from season 11, the current season, is purchasable—Ashe Calamity Empress. You can also buy a Mythic Weapon skin for Reinhardt, the Bound Demon. Both cost 50 Mythic Prisms.

How do Mythic skins work in Overwatch 2?

In Overwatch 2, Mythic Skins are customizable skins you can only get by paying real money. You can consider them a tier above Legendary. They usually have a unique model, animations, and particle effects that make them stand out from other skins.

Mythic Skins’ standout feature is that they’re upgradeable. By spending 10 Mythic Prisms at a time, you can upgrade a Mythic Skin to level two, three, or four. This unlocks new color palettes alongside extra features specific to that skin. For example, upgrading Tracer’s Adventurer skin unlocks a new mask, weapon, and color palette per level.

Are Mythic Skins worth it in Overwatch 2?

If you ask me, Overwatch 2’s Mythic Skins aren’t worth it unless you’re a die-hard fan of one particular hero. They’re quite expensive—you can buy 50 Prisms for $40 or 100 Prisms for $75, so maxing out a Mythic Skin essentially costs as much as a full game.

Having said that, Overwatch 2 is free, and if you feel like you’re playing enough to justify the monetary investment, that’s entirely your call. I usually spend a bit of cash on free-to-play games once I realize I’ve played them for as long as a buy-to-play title, and I recommend you follow the same ethos. Plus, if you’re a big fan of a hero and they have an epic-looking Mythic Skin, there’s no better way to make yourself stand out.
