The Automech Repair Center is situated on the eastern coast of Paradise Island in The Outer Worlds 2. It’s a massive outpost with patrolling Protectorate bots. There are plenty of reasons to explore this area, one being for Vigilant Hogarth and his quest to reprogram Westport’s old combat mechs. 

While there are several ways to enter the Automech Repair Center, the safest way possible is through the front gate. For this, you will need the Automech Repair Center Access Pass. Here’s how you can get it.

How to obtain Automech Repair Center Access Pass in The Outer Worlds 2

You can get the Automech Repair Center Access Pass from the Ministry of Accuracy in The Outer Worlds 2. If you’re anything like us, you probably don’t recall that you might have visited it earlier. It’s situated on the west side of Paradise Island. You might recall infiltrating the location during the “A Refreshing Bit of News”’” side quest for Milverstreet, where you also meet Inez for the first time.

​If you have already explored the Ministry of Accuracy from top to bottom and still don’t have the Automech Repair Center Pass, fret not, as it’s an easy-to-miss item. To get it, interact with the terminal on the first floor.

Here, under the “ALERT: Overdue Deliverable” tab, you will find the option to print the Euphoria Arc Pass. Click on it to obtain the Automech Repair Center Access Pass. Now, present it to Sub-Mechanist Cade Tierney outside the Automech Repair Center, and he will grant you access to the area.

Why should you visit the Automech Repair Center in The Outer Worlds 2?

Aside from helping out Vigilant Hogarth in the quest, “The Saga of the Malfunctioning Mechanicals,” you might want to visit the Automech Repair Center to get the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus. 

It’s one of the gadgets, like the Plasma Thrusters, and it will allow you to enter hazardous areas, such as one covered in Zyranium. This gadget creates a temporary shield, which also bolsters your defense, aiding you in tough encounters. 

Once you have the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus, you can also cross the Zyranium mist surrounding the Skycutter building in the north-west part of Paradise Island, where you can find one of the best legendary melee weapons in the game – Thunderstruck.
