Ultimate weapons are always in the spotlight, but there are a few rare weapons in The First Descendant that might be worth your time as well. One of them is the Vestigial Organ, and here’s how to get it in The First Descendant.
Where to find Vestigial Organ in The First Descendant
The Vestigial Organ is a launcher in The First Descendant that drops from multiple missions in the White-night Gulch and Agna Desert areas. There are multiple missions and all of them have a 50 percent chance to drop the weapon, so your grind shouldn’t take too long.
Here are the missions that drop the Vestigial Organ:
- Miragestone: Vulgus Strategic Outpost zone recon mission in Miragestone (Agna Desert)
- Previous Construct Team Quarters battlefield mission in The Storage (Agna Desert)
- Cave Rally Point mission in Moongrave Basin (White-night Gulch)
- Void Fragment void mission in the Hatchery zone (White-night Gulch)
- Void Fusion Reactor void mission in the Observatory zone (White-night Gulch)
The Void Fragment mission in the Hatchery is by far the best mission to farm. It’s fast, and you can farm Void Shards at the same time. There’s also a chance to get an Electric Conductor Ultimate Module. The module increases the weapon’s ATK when attacking enemies inflicted with Electrocution, which can work well in a Bunny build.
Is Vestigial Organ worth it in The First Descendant?
The Vestigial Organ is a solid launcher when you need a weapon that deals high AoE damage. The main issue with launchers is they aren’t as good for boss damage as snipers or shotguns. Single-target DPS for a launcher is naturally lower, making it far more situational than other Heavy-Rounds weapons.
If you plan to put the Vestigial Organ to use, I recommend getting Rounds per Magazine or Reload Time in your stats and Modules. Launchers intrinsically have slow reload speed, so investing in one or the other will greatly improve your overall DPS.
