Balance Changes

This time around, the dev team mainly focused on bug fixes and unintended behavior changes for the characters.

Common

  • Heat Engagers – Fixed an issue where, after performing the running action triggered by Heat activation, certain opponent moves could not be blocked.
  • System – Performed fixes for certain system-related issues.
  • SE, Voices, Effects, etc – Made some adjustments and changes to the move cinematics.

Alisa

  • DES b2,1 – Floor Break will now only occur on the final hit of the move.

Armor King

  • db3 – Expanded the hurtbox, alleviating situations where certain attacks would whiff.
  • b1+2 – Mitigated an issue where, after a counter hit near a wall, the distance from the opponent could become too great, causing follow-up attacks to whiff.
  • WS 2 and During b1+3 (or b2+4) 2 – Fixed an issue where counter hits in specific situations resulted in unintended behavior.
  • Approach opponent f,!,d,df1+3 (or 2+4) – Fixed an issue where, after successfully performing a throw grab and inputting 1+2, the move “Neck Drop (1+2)” would sometimes fail to execute and instead trigger “Flinging Half Nelson (1)”.
  • WS 2 on CH 2 and WS 2 on CH qcf2 – Expanded the downward hitbox and increased forward movement to mitigate cases where attacks would whiff when hitting at maximum range.

Fahkumram

  • Rama Stance – Fixed an issue where, when transitioning into Rama Stance with a wall behind the opponent, certain opponent actions could cause positional misalignment.
  • df4,3 – Mitigated an issue where, when hitting an opponent in a wall stun and triggering a Tornado, the positions of the characters could swap.

Hwoarang

  • RFS 4,3 – The hitbox of the second attack has been reduced to mitigate the issue of unintentionally hitting opponents who are behind you.

Jin

  • During Zanshin 3 – issue where the positional relationship became strange when being attacked by the opponent during an attack animation has been fixed.

King

  • Approach opponent f,hcf1 and f, hcf2 – Fixed an issue where, in certain situations, moves could be executed without the correct input.

Leroy

  • Hermit (3+4) – Fixed an issue where Anna’s second hit of H,FC df2,1 could not be parried.
  • db 2+3 – Enhanced the tracking performance of the second hit only when the first hit lands or is blocked, to mitigate cases where the attack would whiff midway. The hitbox of the second attack has been reduced to mitigate the issue of unintentionally hitting opponents who are behind you.

Lili

  • H 2+3 – Fixed an issue where positions could swap when hitting an opponent near a wall.

Steve

  • b1+2 – Fixed an issue where unintended behavior occurred when hitting an airborne opponent during Heat state.

Yoshimitsu

  • f2,1 – Fixed an issue where stage gimmicks could not be triggered during an aerial combo after this move landed as a counter hit.

With Miary Zo’s imminent global release, all the characters from Tekken 8’s Season Pass 2 will be out. As of right now, we don’t know when the next year’s pass will be announced. The most likely options are the upcoming Game Awards on Dec. 12th and the TWT Finals in January.
