Best Meridian loadout in Splitgate 2

Supportive and deadly.

On top of the fast-paced portal FPS gameplay, Splitgate 2 offers three factions to choose from. Each faction comes with its own weapons, gadgets, and perks for you to customize your playstyle without making the game overly complicated.

Meridian is a supportive faction with healing abilities and radar devices, but that doesn’t make them weaker in gunfights; quite the opposite. With improved regeneration and positional awareness, you can weave in and out of gunfights so quickly that even Aeros will get jealous.

Here’s the best Meridian loadout in Splitgate 2.

Primary weapons

The best weapon depends on the map and your play style. However, if you want a solid all-around gun, Synapse assault rifle is an amazing choice. It’s available from the start and has a significantly lower recoil than Aeros’s Tempo.

To tune it, you can level the weapon up and unlock attachments. You can have up to two attachments equipped, and here are the ones to use on Synapse:

  • Grip: Improves recoil control.
  • Barrel Extension: Increases maximum effective range.

You should also try the Phasma SMG for more close-range encounters and the Quantum burst rifle for long-range. The Hyperline is a carbine, but with its high fire rate, it becomes difficult to control at longer ranges unless you pace your shots slower than intended.

The Charger shotgun is the only weapon that truly feels awkward to use. A long charge time encourages priming the weapon before getting into a fight, but one shot is never enough, and charging it in front of someone usually ends in a swift death.

Secondary weapons

Nothing overly complicated. Screenshot by Dot Esports

For the secondary weapon, Helios and Tetra are good options. Helios offers more control over burst weapons, but both are decent. They’re fast, allowing you to quickly clean up the kill after landing a Deadbolt shot to the body. The Coil has a charge-up time, which may not be comfortable for everyone, and the damage isn’t the greatest.

You can have one attachment on the secondary weapon, and here’s the one to use on Helios:

  • Laser Sight: Reduces spread and increases accuracy.

Equipment

The Time Dome is a versatile gadget that speeds up time for you and your teammates while slowing time for your opponents. Use it to increase your fire rate and win duels, slow down opponents capturing zones, or speed up your health recovery.

Regen Cloud is a good option if you want to support teammates currently in the gunfight, but it can’t match the utility of the Time Dome, especially when Meridians already have increased recovery time.

Perks

The perks in Splitgate 2 give buffs to your gear. The buffs are minor. Power Cycle, for example, reduces the equipment’s cooldown by three seconds (from 30 to 27). The same goes for the Unblinking perk that reduces Hypersight’s cooldown.

Here are the best perks for the first slot:

  • Tracker: Aces you shoot are briefly marked on a minimap for you and your teammates.
  • Power Cycle: Equipment recharges faster.

Here are the best perks for the second slot:

  • Vast Vision: Bigger minimap range.
  • Eye for Equipment: Highlight enemy portals and equipment in a limited range.

These perks focus on your minimap to give a better idea of what’s happening in the arena and keep track of enemies who quickly move around using portals.
