Smite 2 – How to account link and unlock Legacy Gems

If you want to unlock your Legacy Gems, it's time to link your accounts.

Legacy Gems are a unique currency you can get in Smite 2. They won’t be available for every player, though. They’re primarily for Smite 2 players who played the first Smite and linked their accounts. If you want Legacy Gems, you need to link your accounts with each other.

Linking your Smite and Smite 2 profiles can be tricky, especially if you play on several platforms. There are some effective ways to make this process much more manageable, though. We’ll be able to help you figure out the entire process for this and ensure you receive all the Legacy Gems you’re owed so you can begin using them in Smite 2.

The way you link your Smite and Smite 2 accounts involves making your way over to the Hi-Rez website. You’ll need to log in using your primary Hi-Rez account, which you can use to connect with the platform where you play Smite, such as Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store, or Steam. You can find this on the linked accounts page and connect them. You need to log in for any platform you want to connect to your Hi-Rez account and bring it to Smite 2.

While you can connect your Smite account to your PlayStation platform, cross-progression is not available right now. This will be happening in a later update. For now, anyone playing through the PlayStation network won’t be able to receive Legacy Gems, but this won’t last forever. The Hi-Rez team is working on this.

If you don’t see your Smite 2 Legacy Gems counter on the top-right of your user interface on the main menu, double-check if you’ve connected your two accounts. There is a rollout period for Legacy Gems and any other items to transfer over to your main account. Some players have experienced this issue with missing content that has yet to arrive. It can take several hours to a day before you receive them. Not all skins will transfer over, though.

How Legacy Gems work in Smite 2 is by acting as the gems you’ve spent in the first Smite. These count for all the gems you’ve used to purchase skins, voice packs, chests, or any other cosmetic item you’ve added to your account. Legacy Gems not only count for the gems you received through purchases but also the free ones you’ve earned through any login campaigns, playing Smite weekly, or the weekend pushes for the first wins of the day. Any gem earned on your primary Smite account should become a Legacy Gem in Smite 2.

Legacy Gems can then be used in Smite 2 to purchase specific cosmetics and items. Don’t expect to be able to spend them on everything, however, as Hi-Rez has highlighted they’re only a viable currency for certain purchases.
