Overwatch’s latest cryptic teaser could point to Hammond as the next hero

The Overwatch Twitter account just posted another cryptic teaser. It’s just as mysterious as the first—but it may just offer further clues as to who is the next Overwatch hero.

The video, “Rolling Through,” was posted on June 25 at 7pm CT. It’s the same scene as the teaser posted last week, but instead of a still scene, there’s a dark-colored ball, well, rolling through.

The rolling sphere moves a bit too fast, but it almost looks like it could be the circular pod Hammond launched himself off the moon in. Need to be caught up? Blizzard started hinting more lore on Hammond with the Horizon Lunar Colony rework. A blueprint showed up on the map, showing a little escape pod attached to the one Winston got out on.

Of course, none of this is confirmed, but it’s booting up the hype train for Overwatch fans. There goes the Junkertown Queen theory, huh?

Blizzard’s usually pretty quick with its teasers. It’s possible we could see Overwatch’s 28th hero on the test sever as soon as next week. The six-second teaser could still lead us anywhere. Another theory we’re toying with is that it’s a wrecking ball mech from the Junkertown arena. We’re still not ready to give up on the Junkertown Queen, as unlikely as it feels now.
