Sejuani and Maokai are both receiving brand new splash arts for their older skins as part of their big updates in the next patch, and they look awesome.

We wouldn’t show you the updated artwork without first showing you the originals, though. This way you can really appreciate the glory of the new art—because trust us when we say that the old splash arts definitely needed some updating.

Sejuani’s art obviously isn’t as bad as Maokai’s—hers were spruced up a little when she received her visual update in 2013, but Maokai’s splash arts weren’t updated when he received his own visual upgrade in 2014.

But that was then, and this is now. The new splash arts put the old ones to shame, and they look fantastic. Check them out.

The splash arts, along with Maokai, Sejuani, and Zac’s new abilities, are the spotlight of Patch 7.9, the Midseason update. The full updates, including the splash arts, should be arriving in a couple of weeks.
