Marvel Rivals season 4: Heart of the Dragon is taking players to the ancient east in K’un-Lun, bringing heroes such as Angela, the Asgardian Assassin.
Angela is a unique Vanguard in Marvel Rivals, who can shape her Ichors into various weapons, like a spear to pierce through the enemy backline. She can also mend the Ichors to make a shield for blocking incoming damage, and even transform them into a dual-wielding weapon to give firepower for her team.

As shown by her design, the developer has confirmed that she can fly, making her the game’s first flying tank hero, who should also have a way to deal with aerial enemies.
In addition to Angela, the developer has confirmed through the cinematic that Daredevil will be joining the roster in the mid-season 4.5 update. While we don’t know anything about his role for now, he is definitely one of the highly anticipated characters to join the game.
Arcade modes, such as Clone Rumble and Giant-Size Brain Blast, are permanently returning for players who enjoy casual gameplay. There is also the Conquest game mode, where you win based on your KOs, and Free Fight mode, which doesn’t put a restriction on the hero that you want to pick, allowing you to choose your hero and shine on the battlefield freely.
Ultimate VFX can now be visible to all the players, but it can be turned off as well for the players who want to prioritize gameplay clarity over everything. There have been a myriad of balance changes and new teamups, along with an update on placement matches, which should be coming in the days after season 4. Many players wanted to have placement matches in ranked, as it allows players to get better ranks and avoid high/low-skilled players. It also curbs the smurfing problem.
Marvel Rivals season 4 hits live servers on Sept. 12, 2025, when Angela enters the fray with her golden wings.
