Gold in League of Legends Swarm allows you to purchase crucial upgrades, power up your champions, and stay competitive as difficulty increases. If you want to continue pushing to Swarm’s heights, you need to get better at farming gold so the upgrades don’t bankrupt you.
After completing the initial story mode, Swarm gets noticeably harder, with enemy waves starting faster and hitting harder. Sure, picking champions from the top of the Swarm tier list can give you an edge, but don’t overlook the upgrades. Each power-up will be more expensive than the other, so you need to keep that gold flowing for your upgrades.
How to farm gold fast in League of Legends Swarm
The fastest way to farm gold in League Swarm is by doing rounds in the first map, the Warehouse District. Players reported achieving great success while following this method with Jinx.
While the amount of gold you receive from each map will differ, this is still one of the more stable ways to acquire it in Swarm. Alternatively, you can follow the repetitive method while choosing Yasuo since his evolved skill set makes it easier to deal with enemies.
However, taking out minions and enemies shouldn’t be your only focus while farming gold in Swarm. To maximize your gold per round, you can also do the following:
- Crack open all boxes and chests in maps: Inside boxes, you’ll find various buffs and gold. There’s also a gold buff that you can get from the boxes, Misfortune, and rolling this power-up can significantly increase the total gold you can receive from a run.
- Clear your missions menu: If you haven’t paid much attention to the available Swarm quests, there can be a few challenges waiting for you in the missions menu. These quests can require you to evolve certain items or complete upgrades while rewarding you with gold.
Which upgrades to prioritize with your gold in LoL Swarm
From a mathematical standpoint, I prefer focusing on progression-related upgrades first rather than power-ups. I spent my first gold to make more gold by choosing upgrades like Gain Gold and EXP. Even if you choose this route, you can still unlock the first tier of every upgrade since the early unlocks are relatively cheap.
Choosing upgrades that will speed up your progression will reduce the time spent grinding in Swarm. Players who don’t see themselves playing the game mode often can also go with raw power upgrades and quickly dish out impressive amounts of damage with all weapons in Swarm.
