Yet another feather in Faker's cap.

The 28-year-old mid laner achieved this milestone after leading T1 to a 3-1 victory over Dplus KIA in the LCK Summer Playoffs, securing one of Korea’s four highly coveted spots at Worlds 2025. For a player who debuted in 2013, this achievement is unprecedented in the history of esport.

Over the past 12 years, Faker has been the face of professional League, earning the title of “The Unkillable Demon King” and the GOAT. His journey has taken him to Worlds in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025.

Across those nine prior appearances, he never fell short of the semifinals, winning five World Championships and reaching two additional finals. That kind of consistency at the highest stage of competition has yet to be matched by any other player in esports.

Faker’s dominance places him well ahead of his peers. Taiwan’s Maple follows with nine Worlds appearances, while veterans like Caps, CoreJJ, Ruler, Impact, and Xiaohu have reached eight. Retired stars such as Deft, Doublelift, and Jensen also ended their careers with eight Worlds appearances, ensuring that Faker’s ongoing run stands in a league of its own. His longevity in a scene where most careers last just a few years reflects talent, adaptability, and resilience.

The 2025 season has already been filled with milestones for Faker. Earlier this year, he became the first player to compete in 1,000 LCK matches with a 667-333 record. At MSI 2025, he broke two more records, surpassing 1,000 international kills and reaching 200 international wins, achievements that highlight his unrivaled impact on the global stage.

With five Worlds titles, two Mid-Season Invitational trophies, and 10 domestic championships, his resume reads like the definitive blueprint for greatness. Reaching 10 Worlds appearances is a testament to sustained excellence in one of the most competitive environments in gaming. Faker has remained at the top of the game long after most of his rivals retired, rewriting expectations of what an esports career can look like.

As Worlds 2025 draws near, all eyes will be on him once again to see whether he can add another trophy to his already legendary career. Regardless of the outcome, his achievement stands as proof of unmatched dedication, competitive drive, and the enduring influence of a player who continues to define an era.
