Whether you’ve already beaten Schedule 1 or are just wondering what the future of this hit indie drug crime sim is before you pay for it, we’ve got its roadmap laid out for you.
After being available as a free version on Steam for months, Schedule 1 has finally launched into early access. Set in the crime-driven city of Hyland Point, this game introduces you to the business of drug making and peddling, and lets you use profits to build your portfolio and worth in the long run. While it’s pretty rich in content, you may wonder if a solo developer like TVGS plans to expand beyond the base game. Considering its $20 price tag, the answer’s evidently yes. But what is TVGS’s exact plan?
TVGS has revealed some crucial information about what’s coming to Schedule 1 in the future. Here’s everything you need to know.
Table of contents
All new content and changes coming to Schedule 1

TVGS plans to keep Schedule 1 in early access for two years before releasing a final version. All this time, the developer will keep track of community feedback and reports to improve the existing experience, which includes “a rich open world with several drugs to manufacture and distribute.” With the profit you make from drugs, you can purchase over 10 properties and businesses and establish your empire.
At the time of writing, you can recruit employees—suppliers, workers, and dealers—to help you expand. Different kinds of vehicles, valuables, clothing, and weapons are also purchasable. Besides this, you can experience co-op with up to three friends (four in a lobby) or just fly solo.
As the development progresses, here’s what TVGS plans to add to Schedule 1 in the coming months.
New drug types and forms
You’ll soon get to work with new drug types like Shrooms, MDMA, and Heroin. You’ll also get to manufacture different forms of existing drugs like edibles, powder, hash, rocks, pills, and more.
Map expansion
TVGS plans to expand the south-west part of the Schedule 1 map with a “shantytown/ghetto area.” The north-east region of the map will welcome a new “gated community” and, possibly, a purchasable modern house.
Weather
Hyland Point will experience different weather types, including clear, overcast, and heavy rain.
Property customization
You’ll be able to decorate or renovate your owned properties. Customize features like lighting, wallpaper, flooring, and the exterior. You’ll also be able to increase the security and privacy of your house.
Cartel interaction
With this feature in, you’ll have a new challenge to deal with: cartel members. These NPCs will be able to interrupt your sales, ambush you, attack your properties, and even steal from your supplies.
And much more…
Other than the ones we highlighted, here’s what else you can expect in Schedule 1:
- Travelling customers who appear for limited time
- Fishing minigame that lets you catch and sell fish as well as find random valuable items
- Sewer network
- Property “heat” and raids
- Shooting minigame and a gun range
- Hire drivers and logistic workers
- Bribe police officers
- Parkour to make travelling around the map easier
- Break into Police Evidence Rooms and reclaim your confiscated items
- Custom packaging and labels
Small changes to Schedule 1 in upcoming updates
Besides large content updates, TVGS also plans to add minor features and improvements to boost your Schedule 1 experience. Here are the list of small changes you can expect in the long run:
- In-game voice chat
- Controller support
- Emotes
- Better trash drops
- Break into vehicle trunks
- Different kinds of bag packs
- Better guns

TVGS promises to deploy substantial content updates for Schedule 1 every month, so get ready to explore new stuff and challenges as soon as you’re done with the old. The game’s base price will increase by 25 to 50 percent after its final release, which is an excellent indication of the scale of the upcoming updates.
Schedule 1 is currently available at $16.99 (15 percent off) on Steam due to an introductory offer, which is available till March 31. After that, it’ll return to $20, so we recommend getting it now.
We’ll update this story when TVGS shares new plans for Schedule 1.
