There are two sections to every Lethal Company Mineshaft interior. These are the mines and the caves. The Main Entrance to the Mineshaft is safe, with an elevator separating yourself from the entities down in the mines, and those that wander around in the evening outside.

A lot of scrap resides inside the caves, so don’t limit your search to the mines. You can always find the cave inside an open doorway or behind a Keep Out yellow door with a white light above it.

Let’s get started on our tips to survive the Lethal Company mines.

Where to find the Mineshaft in Lethal Company

The Mineshaft interior replaces the Factory on Offense and Vow, and the Mansion on Dine (which further separates the previously similar Dine and Titan maps from one another) and Artifice. The mines will always spawn on these Moons.

Tip:

Don’t wait around the Home Base entrance on Vow, as the Kidnapper Fox can easily grab you from the surrounding Vain Shrouds.

Regardless of the interior type, the Fire Exits remain in the same location (as seen in all versions pre-update 60). The Vow Fire Exit spawns relatively close to the elevator that leads straight back to the Main Entrance of the Mineshaft. Meanwhile, Offense, Dine, and Artifice Fire Exits take you to another section of the mines and sometimes spawn you close to the cave entrance.

The Main Entrance to the Mineshaft is safe from danger. The only way in and out of the mines is via the Fire Exit or elevator at the Main Entrance. The caves are significantly brighter than the mines, however we recommend you hold onto a Pro-Flashlight in case the mine spawns in the darkness.

Tip:

Remember to find the Breaker Box to turn on the lights if the mines are dark after exiting the elevator.

The caves are distinguishable by their brown, rocky exterior, while the mines are gray and dark (similar to the Factory’s interior). The mines’ layout is incredibly similar to the Factory, but instead of staircases, the mines have multiple paths you can take to reach another depth. But, following the minecart tracks often lead to dead ends. What’s worse, the Facility is filled with yellow doors that are either locked or lead to nowhere.

Instead, doors should primarily be used to temporarily halt an entity’s movement—more specifically, a Coil-Head.

Mineshaft’s caves can include holes in the floor. These are instant death if you fall in. Keep your eyes on the floor for any holes and on the ceiling for potential Snare Flea spawns. The Maneater and Snare Flea are the main entities you need to look out for inside the caves. There are also water pools within the caves. You can crouch and swim through these to access another part of the cave system.

Tip:

Don’t attack a Maneater near the water, as they’ll retreat and transform before you have the chance to attack again.

Each map has its fair share of entities, but the Mineshaft has one monster on each Moon in particular that will always find a way to disturb your scrap run. These are the:

  • Offense: Coil-Head
  • Vow: Bracken
  • Dine: Maneater
  • Artifice: Maneater

Below is a full list of all entities and traps you can find on all Mineshaft Moons.

Scrap types in Lethal Company mines

Mineshaft scrap value and amount varies on the Moon you visit. For v60, Zeekerss added in a rare chance that the mines’ loot pool only spawns one type of scrap item. This doesn’t mean that the mines only offer one scrap to pick up, but rather, you could enter the mines to fill your inventory with one scrap type; for example, the mines would only have Jars of Pickles.

While a chance percentage hasn’t been given for this single scrap type phenomenon in the Mineshaft, this has happened to me five out of 10 times. In my experiment however, I did visit multiple Moons with the Mineshaft interior, rather than repeatedly visiting one Moon.

Depending on the scrap available, your run could be a goldmine or a flop from the get-go. Therefore, the Mineshaft is a high-risk, high-reward interior, as you won’t know how lucky you are until you pick up your first item. For example, if a Jars of Pickle is the only scrap available in the mines, you’re guaranteed to get the scrap value range of $36 to $60 (for a single jar).
