Lethal Company v60: Full patch notes

We hope you're not claustrophobic.

Two Lethal Company updates in one month? Yes please! The Stuffy Update is here to beckon its interns back into the fray, with a brand new (and long-overdue) Facility interior, and a new, intriguing method to deal with its latest entity.

In a surprising release on Aug. 17 (less than one month after the Hopping Update), developer Zeekerss has made a monumental change to Lethal Company by inviting its players into a new Facility interior. This will surely bring back many Company employees, excited to dive into the new bottomless pit that is the Mineshaft. But what else has changed on these Moons’ surfaces?

Here’s everything to look forward to as you hop onto your new shift for The Company in Lethal Company‘s v60 update (The Stuffy Update).

While Lethal Company‘s menu shows version 61 as of Aug. 17, its massive v60 update dropped shortly beforehand with v61 acting as a patch and hotfix for a few issues that arose with the last update.

Here’s our rundown of all new content, balance changes, and fixes to the world of Lethal Company. What will you make of the Stuffy Update?

New content

  • Mineshaft (Facility interior): New Moon interior that replaces the Factory on Offense, Vow, Dine, and Artifice. There are multiple levels to this new interior, including an elevator that takes you down into its depths.
  • Maneater (new Facility monster): A strange baby-like creature that you must rock to sleep to keep from crying. Leaving it alone will cause it to age rapidly, becoming another lethal monster you need to outsmart and outlive. Listen to its cries to differentiate between its childlike or adult form.
  • Mansion: Wooden doors now have a unique sound effect.

Removed content

  • Kidnapper Fox
  • Bog Crawler
  • Goopy Goblin

Quite bizarrely, I still find Kidnapper Foxes in my playthrough (on Vow). Thinking this was the cause of a corrupted save file from v55’s beta, I ran from the Kidnapper Fox, entered the Facility, and found the new Mineshaft on the same file. Whether this entity has truly vanished from the Moons is uncertain. What’s weirder is that Zeekerss claimed two entities have been removed, but we’ve never heard of these entities before.

Balance changes

  • Coilhead: Now needs to recharge after chasing an employee for some time. It’s now possible for the Coilhead to lose track of your position. Coilheads will struggle to jump across gaps if spotted by an employee mid-jump.
  • Dine: Entrance positions have been moved.
  • Bracken (Flowerman) and Spore Lizard: Optimized to prevent lag spikes when the entity retreats.
  • Weather: Slightly reduced number of weather reports present on multiple Moons at once.

Scrap changes

  • Rare chance added for every scrap that spawns inside a Facility to be the same type.
  • Eight new scrap items have been added.

Bug fixes

  • Maneater: Bestiary entry now works. Also, the desync issues with the Maneater’s position when it catches an employee have been fixed.
  • Scrap: Six new scrap items have been added to the Mineshaft interior.
  • Coilhead: Looking at the Coilhead is now working as intended.
  • Soccer balls can be kicked correctly.

While this update appears smaller than the Hopping and Cruising updates, the Mineshaft and Maneater are more than enough to entice me back into the dreaded Facility’s cold embrace. But, perhaps more will be unveiled in the next few days.

Keep your eyes out for possible stealth drops and note which Lethal Company version you’re currently playing on, for changes are sure to be made now that the Stuffy Update is out.
