The ever-shifting rooms in Blue Prints keep you constantly on your toes while drafting the perfect set of rooms to reach the elusive last room to inherit the manor. But if you run out of steps, you have to call it a day and start fresh, which resets your progress.
Luckily, a few permanent upgrades in Blue Prince allow you to have a permanent buff in your runs. It helps you strategize better, draft better rooms, and have a better time instead of scavenging every room for resources and items. While these permanent buffs help you, they just give you a head start in your runs while keeping things interesting as you get deeper into the manor to reach the final room.

All permanent upgrades and how to get them in Blue Prince
There are four permanent upgrades in Blue Prince, and you can unlock them by solving some puzzles. Read on if you’re looking for the easy way out, and get these permanent buffs instantly to breeze through your runs:
Apple Orchard

- Code: 1128
Apple Orchard is one of the early game places in Blue Prince, which you can visit at the start of your first run, but solving it might take you some time. After going outside Mt. Holly, take a left and keep walking until you reach your campsite. From there, go behind it, and you should find a locked fence containing an apple orchard. You need to use the code 1128 here, and the fence will be open for you. After opening it, you gain a permanent buff, which gives you 20 extra steps from the next day for each of your runs, allowing you to always have enough energy to explore the manor.
If you want the code naturally through the puzzles in the game, you need to draft the utilities room and the dark room. Use the utility room to turn on the light in the dark room, and then use a magnifying glass to zoom in on the picture of the apple orchard in the room to find the digits carved on a tree.
Blackbridge Grotto

The Blackbridge Grotto is one of the hardest to complete, as you must draft the boiler room for power and the laboratory to solve the puzzle. Start with the boiler room, turn the pressure valves to divert the steam to the upper level, and connect it with the lift and go to the second floor using the stairs. Now, activate it, and the power should be on. Make your way to the laboratory now, and only pull down the lever number nine and then pull down on the number three to bring power.
Once you’ve done this, you can access one offline terminal every day permanently.
Gemstone Cavern

Gemstone Cavern can be unlocked by drafting the utility closet room, and you can interact with colored switches under the V.A.C. indicators to make them different colors. You get the correct sequence from different rooms’ documents as clues, and if you have a notepad ready, you’d know the right pattern is grey, blue, green, white, red, and purple. After you arrange the colors in this order, the wall behind it should open and reveal a lever. You can pull it, and it should open the Gemstone Cavern.
The permanent buff allows you to start with two gems each day, which are useful for drafting better rooms and saving you from running into rooms with dead ends.
West Gate

For the West Gate, draft the garage room. It has the highest spawn of coming in the west wing, so keep drafting rooms there in your run to find it. Once you draft it, you can get three keys, which are great for opening doors and trunks. You can also use the car keys item here behind the vehicle to get a Permanent Room Upgrade, but to find the west gate, you need to power the garage using the utility room. Once you bring power, a switch is next to the keys near the door, which opens the garage, and you can walk outside the manor. Now, keep walking left after crossing the small water body, and you should find the West Gate here. Interact with it to open it, and you can always take this door before starting your run by getting out of the manor and taking a right to get a buff by taking a few steps.
Trading Room puzzle

Among all the unique rooms that you can draft here, the Trading Post is one of them, and you can find a small puzzle inside the room. You can solve this puzzle by understanding the patterns, making all the yellow squares on each corner, and opening it to get an Allowance token, which allows you to get two gold at the start of your run each day. This is a great permanent buff to stock up on gold coins and spend them on shops to get your desired tools.
Blue Prince Permanent Room Upgrades

While drafting every room in Blue Prince, you get specific rewards and complete different puzzles to progress through them. Each time, these buffs are the same, and there are even some rooms, like hallways, which don’t have any buffs at all and taking them instead of the better rooms just for the doors might work against you in many runs. That’s where Permanent room upgrades, called Floorplan upgrade disk, come in, and you can obtain them in various places in the manor. The easiest one to find is in the office room, kept on the table, and you can interact with the terminal next to it to use it.
Once you use it, a random room will be selected, and three random buffs will be displayed. You can choose any buff according to your playstyle and apply it permanently to the room blueprint to get that buff in your run whenever you draft that room in your future runs.
