Helldivers 2: How to unlock the TR-40 Golden Eagle armor set

There are two ways to get the TR-40 Golden Eagle armor set. You can either wait for the release of Freedom’s Flame or tune into the official PlayStation Access Steam livestream to get a hold of this glistening, golden armor 48 hours before it releases to the masses.

To unlock the TR-40 Golden Eagle armor set, you must be signed into your Steam account when watching the stream. You have until 4am CT on Aug. 7 to get and try this armor out before Aug. 8. While the time it takes to receive this armor varies, you must watch it for a minimum of 10 minutes to unlock it.

This early-access armor is exclusive to Steam users. Therefore, Helldivers playing the game on PlayStation 5 won’t be able to unlock the Golden Armor set until Aug. 8.

The TR-40 Golden Eagle automatically releases as part of the Freedom’s Flame update but is separate from the Warband. While the live stream will run for 24 hours from Aug. 6 to 7, PC soldiers who miss out on the stream will have no choice but to wait the next day to unlock it.

As the pre-recorded stream will loop for 24 hours, you don’t have to worry about missing out on exclusive footage or the armor itself. The Golden Eagle set is free to those who tune into the official stream or download the Freedom’s Flame update.

This pre-recorded livestream showcases the newest Helldivers 2 armor set and a preview into the level 10 difficulty (Super Helldive), the fight against new enemies like the Impaler, and the exploration of the new biome (Haunted Swamp).

The Golden Eagle armor set will be available on all platforms starting Aug. 8.
