According to ESL, an unnamed member of the team was evacuated from the airport he was scheduled to travel from due to a security alert. With flights diverted and travel already difficult, the team has decided to give up their spot given the current circumstances in France.

The loss of EnVyUs is a blow to the tournament. With both EnVyUs and League of Legends side Fnatic not making the trip, none of 2015’s majors winners will be taking part.

With EnVyUs out, ESL turned to the next team in the iBUYPOWER Invitational qualifier tournament. That spot fell to Counter Logic Gaming, who will face Gamers2 in the opening round.

Also competing are Cloud9, Team Liquid, Luminosity Gaming, Team Solo Mid, NaVi and Virtus.pro.

The tournament gets underway on Saturday with eight teams from North America and Europe competing for $100,000 in San Jose’s SAP Arena.
