Players will be able to launch a rocket that’s located in the villain’s lair near Snobby Shores on Tuesday, according to prominent dataminers Two Epic Buddies. The game files seem to indicate the rocket will be available for launch on Tuesday, June 19 at 11am CT.

Blockbuster, a new playable character skin, has been featured in loading screens that show him building what appears to be a rocket or bomb. Some speculated that he had planned to blow up the map, and this rocket may just be Blockbuster’s weapon of choice.

Nintendo Switch players have noticed a mysterious countdown timer being broadcast on televisions in the game. Epic didn’t reveal what it’s counting down to, but it appears that whatever it is, it’s coming on June 19.

Although it’s entirely possible, and the times seem to match up rather well, it’s highly unlikely that only Switch players will be able to launch the rocket. Whether that means the Switch will get additional content or maybe even get their accounts unlocked by Sony on Tuesday is unknown, but it’s hard to imagine everything will remain the same.

The map in Fortnite: Battle Royale has seen a lot of changes over the past few months, and we’ll likely continue to see more alterations moving forward. The rocket may not be as deadly or destructive as one would think, but it sure has the potential to shake up the entire landscape of Fortnite’s map.
