How long is it until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches?

There isn't that long to wait now, fighting game fans.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch is only a few days from being released. But exactly how long is left before the game launches?

In short, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch launches on Dec. 7, but depending on your region, the game could release earlier or later than other Nintendo Switch owners.

If you want to play the game as early as possible, the smart thing to do would be to download the game digitally. That way, as soon as your region hits 00:01, the game will unlock and you can play it straight away.

If you buy it physically, you’ll need to either hope that your store is doing a midnight launch or wait for the day of release to finally put the card into your console and get smashing.

If you really want to be one of the first people to play the game, however, you could in theory set yourself up an Australian Online Nintendo Switch eshop account and buy the game from that region. The Nintendo Switch is region locked, so you can play games from other regions on NA and EU consoles.

We don’t advise it, however, as the game could be locked to that account and you might potentially need to buy a separate online subscription on that account to play the game online.

For those willing to wait, the game is only a few days away— so there isn’t that much time left.
