Dracula has graced the Dead by Daylight fog and is now available for you to play as a formidable Killer. This particular version of Dracula is from the Castlevania series, and has several unique perks you can use to dispatch Survivors before they reach the exit.
These perks are first available on Dracula, also known as The Dark Lord, when you unlock him in Dead by Daylight. After you prestige him, his perks can appear on the bloodwebs of other Killers in the game, giving them access to his perks—but they can’t use all of his powers. You can mix and match various perks to fight your playstyle, and we’ll cover how they each work and what they do during a Dead by Daylight game.
How The Dark Lord perks work in Dead by Daylight
Three perks are available to The Dark Lord in Dead by Daylight: Dominance, Human Greed, and the Hex: Wretched Fate. You can mix and match these to your preferences, picking and choosing the ones that fit your playstyle. Like all Killers and Survivors, you can use four perks on a single character during a match.
The Dominance perk is a way to prevent Survivors from getting additional gear through chests or points by cleansing totems during a match. The first time a Survivor interacts with a totem or a chest during the game, The Entity blocks it for 4/6/8 seconds, and the aura of the blocked totem and chest is revealed to you in white, giving you a clear direction of where to find them during the Dead by Daylight match.
Next, we have Human Greed, where you can prevent Survivors from getting items inside of their chests. You see all unopened chests within the match, and you see the Survivor’s aura when they get within eight meters of them. You can close these chests, which have an 80/70/60 second cooldown, but Survivors unlock a closed chest 50 percent faster.
The Hex: Wretched Fate is the final perk available on The Dark Lord. After a generator has been repaired, a random dull totem becomes a hex totem, cursing the Survivor who is the Obsession. The Obsession has a 27/30/33 percent repair speed penalty, but the Survivor can see the Hex totem’s aura when they are within 12 meters of it. The repair speed penalty continues until Survivors cleanse the hex totem during the Dead by Daylight match.
These are all available when the Castlevania crossover officially arrives on Dead by Daylight servers. You can test them by playing the Public Test Build, featuring The Dark Lord and the Survivor, Trevor Belmont.
