Rick Grimes’s perks in Dead By Daylight

Rick Grimes is the kind of guy to lead and help others, and rebuild what was once lost, so his perks are perfect for building co-operative builds. His three unique teachable perks reflect this strong and reliable leadership.

  • Apocalyptic Ingenuity – The auras of broken pallets are shown to you within 24/28/32 meters. After unlocking or rummaging through two chests, this perk activates. When standing by a broken pallet, press the ability button to rebuild a Fragile Pallet that breaks when dropped.
  • Come and Get Me! – After unhooking a Survivor, while crouched and still, press the ability button. Pools of blood and scratch marks are suppressed for all injured Survivors within 24 meters. You scream and reveal your aura to the Killer for 5 seconds.
  • Teamwork: Toughen Up – While injured, when a Survivor is within 24 meters, stuns the Killer with a pallet or blinds them, grunts of pain, pools of blood, and scratch marks are suppressed for 20/25/30 seconds.

Best Apocalyptic Ingenuity build

This perk requires a build that helps you find and rummage through chests, so you might as well make the most of that. Combine Apocalyptic Ingenuity with Plunderer’s Instinct and Ace In The Hole to find chests more easily and get decent items from inside. Bring along a Shiny Coin offering to spawn more chests, and this could be a pretty practical build that offers more than just the ability to craft fragile pallets.

PerkDescription
Apocalyptic IngenuityOpen or rummage through two chests to activate the perk, after which you can rebuild broken pallets, replacing them with fragile pallets that break when dropped.
Ace In The HoleWhen getting an item from a chest, there is a 100% chance it will have a very rare add-on, with a 50% chance to have a second uncommon add-on.
Plunderer’s InstinctAllows you to see the auras of nearby chests.
AppraisalAllows you to rummage in the chest you just opened to gain a second item.
Optional:
Pharmacy.
Shiny Coin Offering.
Increases unlocking speed by 80%, reduces the noise of unlocking, and guarantees an Emergency Med Kit.
Bring a Shiny Coin offering to increase the number of chests on the map.

Best Come and Get Me! build

There is no better feeling than helping your teammates escape when all seems lost. If you have dying or injured Survivors around you, this perk can be used as a distraction. It is especially useful when your fellow Survivor is being tunnelled off the hook, as it can cover their tracks. Pair this with perks to help you distract and survive a chase to really make the most of it.

PerkDescription
Come and Get Me!After unhooking a Survivor, crouch and activate the perk to suppress their blood pools and noise. You will scream and reveal your aura to the Killer for 5 seconds.
Sprint BurstMake a speedy get away when the Killer starts to chase you, leaving your injured teammates to heal up in peace.
Dead HardGain a short burst of endurance so you survive a hit and extend chase.
VigilAllows you and your teammates to recover quicker from many status effects like exhausted, broken, exposed, hindered, etc.
Optional:
Distortion.
Hardened.
If you would rather not scream and show your aura, but keep the perk covering the scratchmarks and grunts of pain, use either of these perks to stay quiet and undercover.

Best Teamwork: Toughen Up build

Survival often depends on working together as a team, and this perk relies on your team blinding the Killer or stunning the Killer with a pallet. This means the best build would give the other Survivors info on your location as often as possible. Perks like Wiretap can help show others the Killer’s aura during a chase near a generator, giving them time to get to you to help with a blind or stun.

PerkDescription
Teamwork: Toughen UpWhen injured, a Survivor can stun or blind the Killer, and suppress your grunts of pain, pools of blood and scratch marks when you are nearby.
WiretapWhen the trap is placed on a generator, the aura of the killer is shown when they are nearby.
AftercareAfter unhooking or healing Survivors, their auras are revealed permanently to you, and yours to them.
Boon: Shadow StepBless a totem to suppress scratch marks and hide auras within an area. This will help you and your team escape the Killer.
Optional:
Plot Twist
Allows you to leave the area, go into a dying state, and recover quickly to full health.
