Prove your worth before the opening season.

The Black Ops 7 Proving Grounds event is officially the first in-game event in Call of Duty: BO7, and it’s exclusive to Multiplayer.

Recommended Videos

This event is built around leaderboard progression, meaning you’ll compete against other players in a small pool and try to place as high as possible to earn better rewards, including an animated camo and calling card that are sure to flex your skill. Nonetheless, if you get matched into a sweaty lobby, there are still event challenges that offer guaranteed unlocks, so there’s something to earn no matter how you perform.

Here’s everything you need to know about the BO7 Proving Grounds event, including its activation dates, how it works, and what rewards you can grind for.

The event kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 11am CT / 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT. Once it goes live, you can immediately start climbing the leaderboard and maintaining your ranking.

Based on the in-game timer, the event ends on Dec. 1, at 12pm PT / 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. That means you have almost a full week to climb the leaderboard and rack up the rewards before the Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 1 rollout on Dec. 4.

How the BO7 Proving Grounds Leaderboard Event works

Proving Grounds pits you against 29 other players, forming a group of 30 who compete against each other over the duration of the event. Similar to leaderboard events from BO6 Zombies, players need to earn score through standard Mulitplayer gameplay such as getting kills and completing objectives in any mode.

Your total score at the end determine your final placement on the leaderboard, and that placement decides which rewards you unlock. So even if you don’t hit the top of the rankings, you’ll still earn something for participating, and even more if you manage to climb higher.
