The game builds on BO6 with advanced omnimovement features, tactical sprint assists, and new wall jump dynamics, offering numerous options to customize your movement in the game. This makes it even more important to properly tune movement settings to outmaneuver opponents with fluid, responsive control, which can make the difference between winning and losing gunfights.

Having that said, here are the best movement settings to use in Black Ops 7.

Intelligent Movement

  • Sprint Assist: Tactical Sprint Assist
  • Mantle Assist: Off
  • Crouch Assist: Off
  • Corner Slice: Off
  • Wall Jump Assist: Off
  • Active Roll Assist: Off

Set Sprint Assist to Tactical Sprint Assist, as this setting provides better control over when to sprint and helps maintain consistent sprinting without accidental stops, offering a balanced blend of control and speed.

Turn off Mantle and Crouch Assists to gain full manual control with these movements. Although assists can help if you’re just starting, turning them off ensures no unintended mantling or crouching will disrupt your momentum during combat.

It’s best to turn Wall Jump Assist off to gain precise manual control for wall jumps and aggressive movement tactics, such as jump shooting or bunny hopping. However, if you’re still mastering these mechanics, try Sideways Only when facing a wall.

Movement Behaviors

  • Slide/Dive Behavior: Tap to Slide
    • Slide/Dive Action Delay: Short
  • Automatic Airborne Mantle: Off
  • Sprint Restore: On
  • Slide Maintains Sprint: On
  • Wingsuit Activation: Manual
  • Wall Jump Activation: Press
  • Slide/Active Roll Behavior: Tap to Slide
  • Active Roll Camera: 3rd Person
  • Movement Advanced Settings
    • Sprint/Tactival Sprint Behavior: Toggle
    • Auto Move Forward: Off
    • Auto Door Peek: On
    • Grounded Mantle: On
    • Tactical Sprint Activation: Single Tap run
    • Plunging Underwater: Trigger
    • Sprinting Door Bash: On

Use Tap to Slide, as this allows for quicker and more controlled slides without requiring you to hold the button. This will keep your movement smooth and fluid, while setting the Slide/Dive Activation Delay to Short for faster response times.

Set Wingsuit Activation to Manual and Wall Jump Activation to Press for improved precision and control, allowing you to avoid accidental activations.

Another tip for controller players looking for smooth movement is to lower your Left Stick Min and Right Stick Min Deadzone settings. Keep it between one and three to increase responsiveness. Adjust as necessary if you experience stick drift. For max sensitivity, try setting the left stick (movement) to around 65 to 75 and the right stick (viewing and aiming) to 90 to 99 to maximize reaction speed without compromising precision.
