Perks in Call of Duty: Warzone have seen a major overhaul with the integration of Black Ops 7. And if you’re wondering which are the best perks to equip in Season 1, we’ve got you covered.
Warzone is getting one of its biggest perk shake-ups in years. Categories have been restructured, perks have been rebalanced or replaced, and the notorious Birdseye has been removed entirely. The result is a perk system that rewards smarter pre-match decisions and creates a more tactical meta.
Under the BO7 era, clearer perk identities and tradeoffs require you to have a new strategic approach in BR. With that in mind, these are the best perks to use in Warzone Season 1.

Best Perks in Warzone Season 1
With the default Tactical Sprint gone, movement matters more than ever in Warzone, whether you’re diving into classic Battle Royale or grinding out Resurgence. That’s why our picks for the best perks lean heavily into mobility. Keep in mind that the meta can change with future patches, so we’ll be updating our recommendations accordingly.
Perk 1 (Blue)

For your first slot, Mountaineer is the standout pick, especially after receiving buffs at the start of the season. This perk raises the height threshold before you take critical fall damage, speeds up ladder climbing, removes the movement penalty from high drops, and unlocks the Combat Roll to further reduce fall damage. It’s especially valuable for vertical combat scenarios or aggressive loadouts where mobility and quick repositioning can decide a fight.
If you prefer a more tactical approach, Veteran is a strong alternative. It makes you resistant to flash, concussion, gas, and shock effects while keeping you immune to Grenadier-enhanced explosives, so you can push into campers with confidence. Veteran also boosts hold-breath duration and flinch resistance, an ideal combination for snipers or players who want to maintain accuracy under pressure.
Perk 2 (Red)

Sprinter is the clear winner for your second slot, giving you full Tactical Sprint and the ability to reload while using it. It also cuts down movement slowdowns during reloads or equipment use, perfect for staying mobile in high-pressure fights where every second of momentum matters.
Quick Fix and Alertness are solid options too. Quick Fix lets you plate up one-handed while still hip-firing, and instantly triggers health regen after you secure a kill or insert armor, keeping you alive through chaotic pushes. Alertness, on the other hand, lets you detect nearby enemies or anyone aiming at you, feeding you and your squad crucial intel.
Perk 3 (Yellow)

If you’re already running Sprinter in the second slot, pairing it with the new Adaptive perk is a no-brainer. Adaptive gives you a movement speed boost when you’re not fully plated, and improves ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds when you are fully plated. Combined with Sprinter, this setup turns you into a constant-motion menace that can outpace and outmaneuver enemies in frantic gunfights.
Adaptive also provides an audible alert when you’re near trap equipment, delays traps you trigger, and lets you reset fuses when tossing grenades back, essentially making you far harder to catch off-guard by utility or trick plays.
If you’d rather boost survivability, pick Survivor. It increases health regen and revive speed, and even protects you from one-shot sniper headshots.
Tracker is another strong option. It briefly outlines enemies you hit so your squad can instantly lock onto targets. It also enables you to automatically ping the enemy who downs you, and reveal their footprints for several seconds when tagged, giving you chase potential.
If you’re also looking for the meta guns, these are the best weapons to use in Warzone Season 1.
