Black Ops 7 Zombies camos
Just like in previous Black Ops titles and other modes, BO7 Zombies splits its camo grind into three tiers:
- Military Camo
- Special Camo
- Mastery Camo
Military Camos require simple challenges that hand out pretty basic skins. Special and Mastery Camos, on the other hand, are where the real grind begins. They take longer, they’re tougher, but the cosmetics you unlock are way more worth it.
All BO7 Zombies camo challenges
Treyarch has eased up on the camo requirements this year, making BO7‘s grind smoother than BO6. However, each weapon now has three Special Camo challenges instead of two.

BO7 Zombies Military Camo challenges
Your camo grind starts with the nine Military Camos, which you unlock in order by completing specific challenges. Every weapon has its own set, so you’ll need to clear them one by one for each gun. Once you’ve unlocked them, the camos are usable in any mode.
- Char: 100 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Tundra: 200 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Flood Digital: 300 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Cedar: 400 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Marshland: 500 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Mire: 600 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Ravine: 700 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee
- Skulk: 800 Critical Kills / Point Blank Kills for shotguns / eliminations for launchers and melee

The final Military Camo now caps out at 1,000 Critical Kills, Point Blank Kills, or eliminations depending on the weapon type you’re grinding. It’s down from BO6’s painful 2,000, making the early grind a lot less of a slog.
BO7 Zombies Mastery Camo challenges
Once you’ve finished a weapon’s nine Military Camos and its three Special Camos (total of 12), you move on to the final stretch: Mastery Camos. These also have to be unlocked one weapon at a time, and just like the others, they can only be equipped on the gun you earned them with.
- Golden Dragon: Get 10 kills rapidly 15 times.
- Bloodstone: Get 20 or more consecutive kills without taking damage 5 times.
- Doomsteel: Eliminate 10 Elite Zombies.
- Infestation: Unlock Doomsteel on 30 weapons.
The final Mastery Camo across all modes (Infestation for Black Ops 7 Zombies) now unlocks automatically once you’ve earned the previous Mastery tier on 30 different weapons. It’s a return to the older Black Ops style, meaning no more doing a separate final challenge for every single gun just to hit the last Mastery tier.
BO7 Zombies Special Camo challenges
When you’ve cleared all nine Military Camos for a particular weapon, you can start working on its Special Camos. Every gun has three Special Camo challenges, and completing all three unlocks that weapon’s Special Camo, which you can then use in any mode. Unlike Military Camos, you don’t have to follow a strict order here, as Special Camos can be tackled however you like. Each one has its own unique requirement, and the challenges vary depending on the weapon and its class, designed to match how that gun is meant to be played.
