When is Black Ops 7 Season 1? Release date and countdown timer

A ton of content incoming.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is another pivotal entry in the franchise, launching worldwide on Nov. 14, 2025, across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and now we have a release date for BO7 Season 1 as well.

According to Treyarch, Season 1 is slated to be “the biggest season in franchise history.” The Black Ops 7 season 1 roadmap includes a ton of content, including fresh and returning maps, weapons, and modes for Multiplayer and Zombies.

Full Warzone integration will also take place with this update, with BO7 mechanics taking over. With that said, here’s everything you need to know about when season 1 goes live.

Black Ops 7 Season 1 release date

Black Ops 7 Season 1 will release on Dec. 4, 2025. On Nov. 23, 2025, Call of Duty‘s X page confirmed the launch date, while also mentioning that Warzone will have its Season 1 in the BO7 era on the same day.

It’s currently Season 6 in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, and that will be over in 10 days. As per my early prediction and how season transitions have traditionally been, the release date is on point.

The gap between the game release and Season 1’s launch in December gives players enough time to explore Co-Op Campaign (including Endgame), Multiplayer, and Zombies content before the new update drops. During this time, you can level up the meta weapons from launch and get them ready to destroy Warzone lobbies once the integration happens.

What to expect in BO7 season 1

Seven new and remastered weapons, such as the Maddox assault rifle, Crossbow, and Ballistic Knife, are set to arrive with Season 1. Several multiplayer maps are also expected to drop, blending original locations and classics like Standoff and Meltdown.

Three new Zombies maps, including Astra Malorum, are on the way, along with returning Multiplayer modes like Sticks and Stones and Prop Hunt. Full integration with Warzone will happen with the introduction of new weapons and the Resurgence map, Haven’s Hollow.
