It was reported in April that The Ledger Group threw in $1.5 million in funding, and will rebrand to OverActive Media to better serve its esports investments, Askott Entertainment and Enthusiast Gaming, as well as its new Splyce investment. First Serve Partners rounds out the funding. World Peace and Harper came aboard with First Serve, ESPN said.

Splyce current fields teams in League of Legends, Call of Duty, Halo, Rocket League, StarCraft 2, Smite, and Paladins. Spylce is looking to secure a franchising slot in the European League of Legends Championship Series, with the deadline for applications closing on July 1 for the first season in 2019. The organization has been a part of the EU LCS since October 2015.
