If you want to build more advanced equipment and items in 7 Days to Die, you need Mechanical Parts. Unlike most materials in 7 Days to Die, you need to disassemble items, rather than bashing them until they break, to get this resource.
Here’s how to get Mechanical Parts in 7 Days to Die.
Before you get Mechanical Parts in 7 Days to Die
Find a Wrench. Even better, find a Ratchet or an Impact Driver. Either of these items will do the trick. If you’re early in the game, a Wrench is probably the easiest to get. You can learn how to craft one or find one out in the wild (they usually spawn in garages).
You require these tools because you need to break down a lot of items. Contrary to popular belief, you can’t use your fists or a Stone Axe to break down something and get the same resources. You have to be elegant about it and use a disassembly tool, like the Wrench.
Mechanical Parts: How to get in 7 Days to Die
To get Mechanical Parts fast in 7 Days to Die, use your Wrench to disassemble a car. You can disassemble many things in the game, but cars are everywhere, and they are, by far, one of the best sources of Mechanical Parts.
Simply walk up to a car, pull out your Wrench (Ratchet or Impact Driver), and start breaking it apart by pressing Left-Click on your mouse. It doesn’t take too long to break down a car, and when disassembly is complete, you get around 30 Mechanical Parts.
You can also disassemble Air Conditioners, Gas Stations, Office Chairs, Destroyed Workbenches, Toolboxes, and other similar items, but cars are still the absolute best source of Mechanical Parts.
