The best way to be more productive at night is to manage your resources, inventory, and equippable items until morning comes. This shouldn’t come as a surprise if you’ve played 7 Days to Die for a while, because one of the worst things you can do is wander around at night.

Fortunately, the game has been out for almost 11 years (mostly in early access), and players have found many ways to make their nights more productive. We’ll share these tips with you:

  • Fix your equipment
  • Melt scrapped items into raw resources
  • Craft more supplies
  • Eat and drink
  • Heal yourself

Essentially, the best thing you can do during the night is prepare for the next day. If you’re curious why nights are so boring in 7 Days to Die, then you need to know how Nights actually work.

One of the most unique features of 7 Days to Die is its day and night cycle. While zombies fumble and stumble during the day, they relentlessly attack at night. Because of this, it’s common practice to find a safe place for the night, barricade yourself, set a few traps, and hope you survive the onslaught of zombies until the first rays of the sun appear.

Of course, this sounds scarier than it actually is. At some point, you’ll build an impenetrable shelter that you only need to maintain occasionally while you wait for daytime. In other words, even though they are scary, nights can be boring in 7 Days to Die

Even on the easiest difficulty, one of the worst things you can do at night is wander around because you’ll easily be overrun by zombies. So, stay hidden and do all the boring things you’d do during the day.
