Ajax is one of the most capable defense characters in The First Descendant, and his ultimate form is even more capable as he exerts more damage and has more defensive capabilities.

The quickest and simplest way of obtaining Ultimate Ajax is to purchase him through the shop tab in the main menu. Unlike his basic form, which costs 300 Caliber, Ultimate Ajax is much more expensive. You can purchase him through one of his two bundles, the Ultimate Ajax Bundle and Premium Ultimate Ajax Bundle.

The Ultimate Ajax Bundle costs 3000 Caliber and includes Ultimate Ajax, his Conviction of Steel Head & Body skins, and one Descendant slot. The Premium Ultimate Ajax Bundle costs 5000 Caliber and includes Ultimate Ajax, his Conviction of Steel Head & Body Skins, one Descendant slot, the Albion Rocket Back Attachment, the Beyond the Unknown Spawn, one Energy Activator, and two Crystallization Crystals.

The second, more complicated, and time-consuming way of obtaining Ultimate Ajax is to craft him through research, which requires several materials. To craft Ultimate Ajax, visit Magister Anais, who is located southwest of Albion. Speak to her, and the research menu will pop up. Navigate to the Descendant section and select Ultimate Ajax. This shows you all the materials you need to craft him.

First, you must craft four of his major materials: Ultimate Ajax Code, Ultimate Ajax Enhanced Cells, Ultimate Ajax Stabilizer, and Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst. You must also craft each of these materials individually, and they all require specific resources. You can only gather them from specific areas in the game while playing certain missions. The blueprints for these materials are much tougher to acquire as, due to being Ultimate variants, their drop rates are incredibly low.

Once you’ve gathered all the necessary materials, head back to Albion, talk to Magister Anais, and select Research Request. Crafting Ultimate Ajax costs 900,000 Gold and takes 36 hours.

Ultimate Ajax is a superb tank Descendant who uses his shield to defend allies and heavy attacks to dispatch enemies. He also has a variety of useful skills and abilities. This includes his Passive Skill, Event Horizon, which enables him to acquire Void Energy, which enhances his skills and grants additional effects. 

Like his basic variant, Ultimate Ajax has the same four Active Skills. Orbit Barrier creates a shield in front of him, increasing durability proportional to his HP and DEF. Void Walk lets Ajax leap into the air and perform a landing strike on enemies. Expulsion Strikes nearby enemies, knocking them back, and Hypercube creates a dome-shaped shield that increases durability.
