Rocket League is out today on Nintendo Switch

Rocket League is out now—again.
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Rev your engines and prepare yourself for high octane action as Rocket League is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide. The Switch version of the game was revealed during Nintendo’s E3 presentation back in June of this year. Psyonix, the developers of the game, promised that the game would have the same features, upgrades, and content as the other version while adding Nintendo exclusive battle cars and items. Mario, Luigi, and Samus themed cars are available in the Nintendo Switch version of the game but players will need to unlock them. The items are rewards for completed matches and will be entirely free to unlock. The car/soccer hybrid was a huge hit on Twitch when it launched in 2015. Since then Rocket League has developed a burgeoning esports scene. The recent Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) finals awarded $150,000 with tens of thousands watching, with top esports teams like Cloud9 and G2 Esports represented. Rocket League features cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One, and that is now extended to Nintendo Switch. So whether you’re playing on your gaming PC or handheld on your Switch, everyone is on the same playing field. Rocket League is available on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99.
