How to unlock the Warden class in Remnant 2 The Dark Horizon DLC

Harness the power of the Warden in Remnant 2.

With the arrival of The Dark Horizon DLC in Remnant 2, players get a new area with additional bosses to fight and weapons to earn, and there’s also a new class. You can unlock the Warden by playing through The Dark Horizon, but you need to find it.

The Warden is not a simple class to unlock. You can easily miss it if you don’t know where to look for it, and it can be tricky to know where you have to go. If you only follow the main story locations, you might have to unlock it in another playthrough. Here’s what you need to know about how to unlock the Warden in Remnant 2’s The Dark Horizon DLC.

You can unlock the Warden by going to the Withered Necropolis at the Waylaid Conservatory checkpoint. This is one of the early locations in Remnant 2‘s The Dark Horizon DLC, which means you can get the new archetype far earlier than others have been available. When you arrive at the Withered Necropolis, you must proceed from the checkpoint and continue toward the large structure. You want to head in the opposite direction as the Gardener is facing.

A glider should be available at the far end of this area. Expect to fight past several groups of enemies. This is close to the entrance of Withered Necropolis, so don’t expect to venture too far into this area to find it. The rest of the area is essentially a maze.

Take the glider and immediately veer to the right, hugging this cliffside. It might appear that you’re going in a direction without any true destination, but there are several gusts of air bellowing up from here that you can use when you round the corner of this rock wall. Even if you’re about to fall, these gusts of wind should lift you up. You need to hit two of them, and the last one should lead you to a hidden platform you wouldn’t have been able to reach from other destinations in Remnant 2.

Several enemies will guard this location when you arrive at the platform. If you want to take your Remnant 2 character from here, follow the path to the left. You’ll encounter an elite foe waiting for you on this path. After defeating them, continue in this direction, and you’ll eventually arrive at a terminal that you can interact with, giving you the Weathered Mechanism. You can now bring it to Ward 13 and offer it to Wallace, who can turn it into the Command Module. You can now add it to the list of archetypes you can freely use in Remnant 2, but it requires you to own the Dark Horizon DLC.

The Warden is an archetype that acts as a support character in a party. They will be able to provide shields, additional damage, and improved healing for all party members in Remnant 2. This is a great class to check out for anyone looking for ways to help support their teammates on more significant difficulties beyond damaging enemies. Now that you’ve unlocked the Warden in Remnant 2, you can also restart a new character and have them begin a playthrough as the Warden.
