To get early access to NBA 2K25, you just need to pre-order any edition of the game before launch day, Sept. 6.

Though it’s best to do this before Sept. 4 (when early access goes live) to get the full benefits, you can still jump into the game and receive all your pre-order perks if you purchase the game on Sept. 4 or Sept. 5.

When does NBA 2K25 early access start?

NBA 2K25 Early Tip-Off starts on Sept. 4, at 7am CT. Early access opens at the same time across the globe, so the New Zealand trick won’t do you any good.

Which platforms and editions have NBA 2K25 early access?

Purchasing any of the four NBA 2K25 editions grants you early access. Early Tip-Off is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but there is no NBA 2K25 early access on Nintendo Switch. The offer isn’t limited to digital copies and you can get your physical copy of NBA 2K25 with early access from approved retailers, starting Sept. 4.

Jumping into early access also allows you to start your Season 1 journey earlier than other players, as that launches simultaneously with Early Tip-Off, on Sept. 4.
