With 14 days remaining until the 2019 LCS Spring Split begins, TSM has quietly signed another player.
Former OpTic Gaming Academy jungler Gabriel “Fanatiik” Saucier’s name has appeared on Riot Games’ Global Contract Database under TSM, sporting a one-year contract with the organization.
With TSM yet to announce the addition of Fanatiik, details on where he will play are unknown at this time. TSM already has two junglers in Jonathan “Grig” Armao for the LCS and Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham for the Academy team.
Fanatiik’s signing seems to indicate TSM’s intention of working around a six-man roster, with both Grig and Akaadian focusing solely on the LCS, while Fanatiik plays for TSM Academy.
In December, TSM’s president Leena Xu teased fans that there would be “one more announcement for the League of Legends team”—and now it seems like that announcement could be the signing of Fanatiik.
Formerly of OpTic Academy, Fanatiik has previously worked alongside Akaadian, who spent the entire 2018 season playing for OpTic’s LCS roster. During his time on OpTic Academy, Fanatiik saw mediocre results, with the team ending the 2018 NA Academy Summer Split in eighth place.

Fanatik is the seventh player TSM has signed during this offseason. TSM will make their LCS return on Jan. 26 when they face off against 100 Thieves in a rematch of last summer’s third-place playoff match.
