Peyz joins T1 as new star ADC until 2028

A proven prodigy joins T1.

Reigning world champions T1 announced today that they’ve signed Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan as their new starting AD carry through 2028. The three-year deal signals that the most decorated team in League of Legends esports is already planning for the long term.

“Peyz begins his journey with T1, staying with us until 2028. With one goal in mind, we are ready to reach even greater heights,” the organization said in a statement posted across their social media channels.

The six-time Worlds-winning team suffered a major blow when Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung bid adieu in the offseason. While Gumayusi is still exploring his next destination, T1 has already secured their next franchise AD carry—one with a proven record of stepping up in high-pressure moments.

Peyz came into the limelight after his promotion from Gen.G’s academy to the main roster when his team dominated the year by winning multiple LCK titles and the MSI 2024 title.

Peyz has also played with Choi “Doran” Hyeon-jun on the Gen.G roster that defeated T1 numerous times in domestic play, so the two already share a strong competitive history and proven synergy heading into this new chapter. With them together now in T1, the Korean side will look to leverage their built-in synergy while keeping their championship ambitions intact.

The 19-year-old AD carry is considered as one of the most promising bot-lane talents of his generation. He brings a combination of sharp mechanics, fearless teamfighting, and big-stage experience that should fit seamlessly into T1’s championship mentality. Playing alongside legends like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, the young sharpshooter will be stepping into one of the most important roles in League in an organization that demands excellence.

Doran has already renewed his contract for a year while the other T1 standouts Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun and Keria also have their contracts expiring in 2026. As for Faker, the legend has the longest contract extension with the team until 2029

As T1 heads into the 2026 LCK season, they’ll look to build early synergy and refine their identity around their new carry. With a roster still capable of contending for domestic and international titles, the organization hopes Peyz will be the key piece that helps carry them toward a seventh World Championship and reclaim those lost domestic titles.
