The second season of Arcane is just around the corner, and Riot Games, Fortiche, and Netflix are getting ready to unveil more about the future of Piltover and Zaun with trailers and sneak peeks.
What is believed to be the first major trailer on the final season of the animated tv show based on the League of Legends universe is coming out this week, as announced on Arcane’s social media pages. Along with that exciting save the date announcement, Netflix shared a teaser of their upcoming Geeked Week, where they’ll reveal releasing dates for all their major upcoming shows, including the new seasons for Squid Game, Black Mirror, One Piece, and of course Arcane.
Among all those popular series, Netflix hinted at more information coming for Arcane with great pomp and a brand new teaser. Less than 30 seconds of footage of the new season was shared, but it was enough to hype fans, especially as it sheds light on Jinx’s evolving role in the ongoing conflict between Piltover and Zaun.
In this brief but powerful snippet, we see Sevika confronting Jinx with a proposition that could change the course of the undercity’s future. “You have the chance to rally the undercity together,” she says after calling Jinx a symbol of the Undercity—a leader who can unite the fractured people of Zaun against “the true enemy.”
On the other side of the conflict, Piltover is grappling with the fallout of Jinx’s attack on the council. In the short teaser, Ambessa Medarda—a rising political force within the city and a future champion coming to League—is urging the newly formed council to take drastic measures. With Piltover teetering on the brink of chaos, Medarda pushes for the enforcement of martial law, a move she believes is necessary to restore peace; however, this decision could further alienate the Undercity, fanning the flames of rebellion that Jinx ignited.
As tensions escalate on both sides, the stakes in Arcane‘s final season are higher than ever. The trailer dropping later this week on Sept. 5 promises to delve deeper into these conflicting visions of the future, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown between Piltover’s elite and the rebellious forces of Zaun.
And that’s not all. Fans won’t have to wait long to get more insights, as Netflix Geeked Week will run from Sept. 16 to 18, where more is expected to be revealed.
But for now, all eyes are on the new Arcane trailer dropping in just two days, promising to give us a deeper look at the impending conflict of the battle for the future of Piltover and Zaun.
