Here’s Africa by Toto, sung by League of Legends champions—you’re welcome

IT'S GONNA TAKE A LOT TO DRAG ME AWAY FROM YOU.
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

You’ve heard “Mortal Reminder” by Pentakill. You’ve heard “Silver Scrapes.” You’ve heard “Warriors” by Imagine Dragons, and you’ve heard that one music video about Varus, and you’ve probably forgotten the name of it.

But have you heard “Africa” by Toto, but sung beautifully by League of Legends champions?

No? Well here you go, the best thing you’ll hear all day, all week, and probably for the rest of your life. Take it away on the cowbell, Alistar.

Okay well, technically it sings about the rains in Zaun, not Africa, but you have to admit that it’s still the best thing you’ve heard today.

The YouTube channel responsible for this masterpiece has graced the League community with its creations before. Last year, it released an equally-memetastic rendition of All Star by Smash Mouth, but, you guessed it, sung by League champions. Hey, don’t fix what isn’t broken, right?

To really make these videos as hilarious as they can be, we like to imagine all of League’s 141 champions lined up choir-style, taking turns singing the song one word at a time. Not only is that concept alone funny, but imaging fearsome champions like Nocturne, Rek’Sai, or Rengar all huddled up next to one another to sing a rehearsed song makes it even better.

Blitzcrank would probably get kicked out of the group for spamming his laugh emote too much.

No, Riot hasn’t officially made anything this glorious before, but there’s still hope. After all, there probably isn’t anything better for attracting new players than creating a champion cover of “Take On Me” by a-ha.
