One of the most popular Limited Time Modes is set to return to Fortnite: Battle Royale a lot sooner than anticipated.
Playground mode will be back on July 25, according to a tweet from the official Fortnite account.
“Set up squad battles with new team select options, skirt around in an ATK, and gear up with lots more loot,” Epic said. “Look out for the full list of changes in the 5.10 patch notes.”
Playground is essentially a sandbox mode where players can do almost anything they want—from building fancy creations to getting into gunfights with your friends.

The fun LTM was originally added to Fortnite on June 27, but its introduction was met by a slew of issues that caused the mode to be removed from the game. After it returned a few days later, Playground mode remained in Fortnite until it was disabled on July 12.
Epic Games has improvements planned for this version of Playground, though. New team select options will be available, in addition to other changes that will be outlined in the update 5.10 patch notes. It’s unclear if Playground is returning as an LTM again or if it’s officially set to become a permanent mode in Fortnite at this time.

Players previously made a ton of cool creations in Playground mode, including Mario Kart tracks. But with the introduction of the All Terrain Karts in season five, these courses might need some major upgrades.
Playground mode will officially return to Fortnite in just two days.
