Epic Games swiftly pulled the highly-anticipated Playground Limited Time Mode out of Fortnite: Battle Royale within hours of its arrival—and it looks like it’s going to be at least another day before players can return to the mode.

Many fans have been waiting months to play around in the new game mode, which promised to be more casual and easier to learn the game in. Unfortunately, players only got some very limited play time after it was added in today’s update due to seemingly extensive matchmaking issues.

Once Epic closed the mode down for repairs, some fans thought it would return pretty soon thereafter, but that’s not the case. The LTM will be closed for the night, according to an Epic employee on Reddit, who says “multiple teams [are] working to get this mode back into your hands so you can let your imaginations run wild.”

This is surely a disappointment for the majority of fans, who likely had no chance to mess around with their friends this morning when the update went live. Those who didn’t get to play on the Playground today will still get to have some fun with the new Dual Pistols, which were added along with Playground in this morning’s update. In addition to the new weapons, there were various changes to existing weapons’ damage, including another nerf to shotguns.

While Playground may not be available for the rest of the night, it seems like the popular game mode is just a day or two away from returning to Fortnite: Battle Royale.
