The Pokkén qualifiers will be held alongside the Pokémon Oceania International Championships at the Sydney Olympic Park starting at 8:30am local time. Only 100 competitors can enter, so players will need to arrive early in order to guarantee their spot in the tournament.

The winner of the Sydney qualifier will guarantee their place in the World Championship this August in Nashville, Tennessee.

Full details about this tournament aren’t currently available. This includes rules, format, price for entry and sign-up information. The Pokémon Company is expected to release this information sometime in the near future.

Pokkén won’t be the only title played in Nashville in August, however. The Pokémon VGC and TGC finals will also take place at the same time, giving Pokémon fans a lot to look forward to this summer.

More details on the event will be revealed soon.
