Call of Duty really is going back to its roots.

The Call of Duty community is in a frenzy over a one-word response on Twitter about the franchise’s next game.

Sledgehammer Games’ chief operating and development officer, Michael Condrey, took to Twitter yesterday to answer a few questions about the developer’s title Call of Duty: WWII, which will launch on November 3.

A fan asked if unlimited sprint would be included in WWII, and Condrey simply replied, “Nope.”

In Call of Duty, sprinting is a key ability that allows players to move from one point to another quickly. Since Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was released in November 2014, sprinting has been unlimited in multiplayer, which means that players can hold down the sprint button to run around forever.

But, in previous boots-on-the-ground Call of Duty games prior to Advanced Warfare, players were only able to sprint in short bursts—unless the game had a perk to increase sprint duration.

Now that Call of Duty is officially going back to its roots in WWII, it makes sense that unlimited sprint wouldn’t be included. This will definitely have an impact on the competitive Call of Duty scene, since some players might have a difficult time adjusting to this in-game change. Instead of being able to capture a flag or run from one bombsite to the other in mere seconds, players will now need to be much more tactical without unlimited sprint.

Although new-age players will need to get acclimated to life without unlimited sprint, other Call of Duty veterans, such as Patrick “ACHES” Price, are thrilled about the announced change to the sprinting mechanic.

Call of Duty fans are eagerly anticipating new information about WWII multiplayer, but the wait is almost over. The multiplayer reveal for the franchise’s next title will take place during E3 2017, which runs from June 13 to 15.
