Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s massive roster of weapons is full of many guns that feel similar to each other, but the gun you’re here for today is unlike any other.
One of the new weapons added in MW3’s season six is an LMG that’s unlike any of the others available in the game because it uses a feature that’s completely unique to the game in the CoD franchise so far.
Tac Stance is a different way to play in MW3, offering you the ability to hipfire but also aim and use base movement speed, and the new gun is built for it. The Kastov LSW differs from LMGs in this way, but that’s exactly what makes it special and fun to use.
Here’s our pick for the best Kastov LSW loadout in MW3 multiplayer.
Best Kastov LSW loadout and class setup in MW3
This build for the Kastov LSW truly feels like running around with a chainsaw that has the ability to fire bullets and kill enemies at medium range. Tac Stance has never been better in a loadout than in this one, so get used to moving around quickly and mowing enemies down with swiftness.
Best Kastov LSW build in MW3
- Barrel: Bombast T54 Short Barrel
- Laser: STOVL DR Laser Box
- Stock: Spetsnaz S15 Stock
- Underbarrel: Bruen Tilt Grip
- Rear Grip: State50 Grip
The Kastov LSW stands alone as the best MW3 weapon for Tac Stance kills, and it’s not particularly close. The gun’s description of having “best-in-class fire rate and Tac Stance accuracy” is apt, and our build centers around maximizing that ability to its fullest.
These attachments all help with Tac Stance and Hipfire Spread, meaning you’ll never be actually aiming down sights with it. With this build, the Tac Stance reticle will nearly be hitscan with very little spread to begin with until you hold down the trigger and mow down enemies, of which there will be a lot for you to take down.
This gun may end up not being your thing whatsoever, but trust me when I say that Tac Stance is the only way to go with this gun. This specific build helps buff Accuracy and Recoil Control, but you won’t be aiming with the iron sights. Make sure to swap to Tac Stance before taking anyone on.
While using Tac Stance, you can walk at your normal walking speed while firing, making it special in that regard. You can swap out the Bruen Tilt Grip for the GRV-Z Short Grip for even more accuracy and mobility, too, for whichever you prefer.
Best Kastov LSW class setup in MW3
- Vest: Infantry Vest
- Secondary: Renetti
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
- Lethal: Sticky Grenade
- Field Upgrade: Trophy System
- Gloves: Commando Gloves
- Boots: Lightweight Boots
- Gear: Tac Mask or EOD Padding
This is a unique set of perks for a unique weapon. I like to use Commando Gloves so I can sprint away and reload the massive 100-round magazine safely. Otherwise, I sometimes get caught out in the open for an easy kill for the enemy.
Lightweight Boots, meanwhile, boost base movement speed, which is what you use while moving with Tac Stance, so it’s essential to help move more quickly. And finally, for Gear, take your pick of Tac Mask or EOD Padding, depending on which throwables you’re looking to nullify more.
Fill out the rest of your class with items you prefer, but you can’t go wrong with a Stun, Sticky, and Trophy System to help protect you and your team while playing the objective or gunning down kills.
