Black Ops 7 is set in 2035 and continues the saga from previous Black Ops titles, particularly the events after BO2. You follow JSOC Commander David Mason and his team across diverse locations such as Nicaragua, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and the sprawling city of Avalon.

You can either play the campaign in solo or co-op mode, as it supports up to four players. After completing the campaign missions, players unlock a new mode called Endgame, an intense extraction shooter experience set within Avalon.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign takes between four to six hours to complete, depending on the team size. If you’re going solo, expect it to be closer to the six-hour mark. If you team up with friends, you will finish it a lot quicker.

The campaign is designed in such a way that it’s best enjoyed when you squad up. So, if you have a group who plays multiplayer regularly, you may as well team up to play the story mode and finish it faster. That also means you’ll unlock Endgame much quicker.

The campaign is divided into 11 missions, and the difficulty options you get to choose from are:

  • Recruit
  • Regular
  • Hardened
  • Veteran

The higher the difficulty option, the longer it will take for you to complete the story campaign.

Here are all the 11 missions you get to play in BO7:

  • Exposure (Avalon)
  • Inside (Avalon)
  • Distortion (Angola)
  • Escalation (Avalon)
  • Disruption (Japan, Tokyo Bay)
  • Collapse (Avalon)
  • Fracture (USA, Los Angeles)
  • Quarantine (Avalon)
  • Suppression (USSR, Vorkuta)
  • Breakpoint (Avalon)
  • Containment (Avalon)

The story narrative advances around elite JSOC forces led by David Mason, dealing with emerging threats and uncovering deep conspiracies.

Mission environments span neon-lit Japanese rooftops, coastal Mediterranean areas, U.S. cities, and even ventures into psychological thriller elements, ensuring variety throughout the campaign.

Is there additional content after the campaign?

Yes, once you finish all campaign missions, you unlock the Endgame mode. It’s a fresh PvE experience (mimics extraction shooters), and it further extends gameplay on Avalon.

This mode supports squads of up to 32 players, and the main focus is on dynamic challenges, zone control, and survival elements. While the core campaign wraps up within a handful of hours, the Endgame is replayable.

Having said that, before you jump into multiplayer straight after completing the story, make sure you have these settings sorted:
