“Some say the world will end in fire” is a line from a short poem called “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost—but it’s also a League of Legends quote. Before giving away the answer to the April 14 LoLdle, here are a few hints.

LoLdle quote April 14 hints
Hint 1: This champion hit the live servers in 2011.
While this League champion isn’t an OG, they’ve been around the block for a long time now. They haven’t really changed much over the years and could honestly use some sort of rework. They look outdated despite becoming a reasonably popular pick in solo queue.
Hint 2: This champion is traditionally a mid laner.
As a mage, this champion was quite clearly designed to be a mid laner. But with mages turning up elsewhere, you’ll probably find them in the bot lane. They’re capable of dishing out a lot of damage, but they also have some supportive abilities.
Hint 3: This champion is red hot.
This champion is extremely hot—and I don’t mean attractive. They’re literally on fire. They’re basically League’s version of Human Torch. Lore-wise, though, they’re from the icy Freljord. Confusing, I know.

Which LoL champion says “Some say the world will end in fire”?

Answer: The champion who says “Some say the world will end in fire” is Brand, the Burning Vengeance.
Of course, it’s Brand. Whenever I see the word “fire” in a League quote, I instantly think of Brand. He lives and breathes fire. While I don’t recall him saying this quote, it makes perfect sense. I suppose it could have been Smolder, but this doesn’t exactly sound like something the little dragon boy would say.
How many guesses did it take you to get to Brand? Let us know in the comments below and check back tomorrow for the next LoLdle puzzle!
