When I first saw the “Moral position clue in the LA Times Mini Crossword, I knew I was in for a tough one. I spent quite a while trying to figure out what some common moral positions could be before I realized I was thinking about this one all wrong.

This is a pretty tricky one since the correct word has many different meanings, so I don’t blame you if you can’t solve it. The answer for the “Moral position” clue in today’s LA Times Mini Crossword is “STAND.”

Stand can mean many things, like an upright position, a small shop you can grab food from, and the base of certain items. But it also aligns with our clue here since it can represent a moral position you take on a particular issue.

‘Moral position’ clue difficulty rating

This is one of the trickier clues I’ve seen since “Moral position” is vague and can mean so many different things. I certainly wasn’t thinking of “STAND” when I saw it, and even though this is a common word, it’s a tough one to get to with this clue. I’m rating this clue four out of five for difficulty since I don’t see it getting much harder than this.
