I love chips, but I’m from England, so they’re not quite the same as the ones you have over there in the United States. But what’s an alternative to a chip, and in the baking aisle of all places? The New York Times Mini Crossword is giving me a headache today, but I have the answer.

Alternative to a chip, in the baking aisle – NYT Mini Crossword answer
Still need help? The answer to one down in the April 14 NYT Mini Crossword is “CHUNK.”
Chunk, as in the alternative to a chocolate chip. I was thinking of traditional potato chips (or crisps in my country) when I first laid my eyes on this clue, but you don’t find them in the baking aisle. Chocolate chunks are basically just bigger versions of chocolate chips. You might put them in a cookie or on a cake, or just in your mouth if you’re desperate for a sugar hit. A handful of these can go a long way sometimes. Who doesn’t love chocolate?
