Match Recap
Mirage – ZywOo drops a 4.55 rated T side – 13-5
The map started off with the MongolZ finding a foothold on the A site thanks to an opening double from Mzinho. But, setting the stage for the half, Vitality were quick on the retake to take the pistol round. Vitality brought rifles to the next round, but it was The MongolZ’s force buy that took the round win. That set up a small streak of rounds for The MongolZ. But with controlez completely absent from the kill feed, the team were operating with one hand tied behind their back.
Vitality quickly tied the score up 3-3. While Vitality’s stars found their form, The MongolZ managed to sneak a couple more rounds across the line, largely thanks to Mzinho and bLitz. But apEX’s side actually came out on top in the half, taking a 7-5 lead.
Vitality took the second pistol round as well, as ZywOo closed out a 1v2 clutch on A with his signature p250. An apartments stack should have meant a round win for The MongolZ, but Vitality somehow walked out of that situation with three alive, to continue their march. 910’s AWP then gave his team some hope, but that too was dashed when ZywOo responded with his own big green. Quickly, Vitality locked the map win, 13-5.

Dust2 – ZywOo continues his unstoppable charge – 13-4
Pistols continued to be Vitality’s calling card, with ZywOo and ropz this time closing the round out. A rare double scout force from The MongolZ managed to get enough tags off to allow the MP9 of 910 to snatch a round. Vitality responded with a force buy of their own, even managing to upgrade ZywOo’s scout to a free AWP.
Mzinho once again had to power up his team, with a quad kill shutting down Vitality’s A attack. With control of the economy on The MongolZ’s side, round eight should have been a formality, but ropz pulled out four key kills with his Galil to win a clutch on B. That round loss took the wind out of The MongolZ’s defence, and Vitality pulled a commanding lead with eight on the board.
Vitality then continued their 100% strike rate in pistol rounds, this time with ropz shutting down a B split. That locked in double digits for the Vitality side, and with nothing going The MongolZ’s way, the international side closed the map out 13-4.
Vitality now head into the semifinals, taking on the mighty Team Spirit. Spirit themselves have leveled up throughout the Major, with Zweih powering their win over Falcons in the other quarterfinals. That sets up an incredible matchup of firepower dominant sides. Can apEX be the difference maker?
