PGL has officially locked in Singapore as the host city for the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2026.
The PGL Singapore Major 2026 is a significant milestone for both the game and Southeast Asian Esports since it’ll be the region’s first-ever CS2 Major,
Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL, said, “Bringing the first Counter-Strike Major to Singapore is a moment that truly inspires us.”

According to PGL’s official post, the Major is scheduled to run from Nov. 25 to Dec. 13, 2026, which means it’ll run for nearly three weeks. A total of 32 teams will battle out across three stages, all fighting for a massive $1,250,000 prize pool and the final Major trophy of the year.
The playoffs will culminate in a best-of-five grand final played inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium, a 12,000-seat arena. While the earlier stages will be played in a studio environment, the noise and chaos will be reserved for the final four days inside the stadium.
What the CS2 Major 2026 means for PGL and Singapore
PGL’s circuit for 2025 and 2026 already includes multiple arena stops, and this is just another step forward. It has a long-running history with Counter-Strike Majors, and having produced three of the most-watched CS events of all time, including Stockholm 2021 (2,748,434 peak viewers), Antwerp 2022 (2,113,610 peak viewers), and Copenhagen 2024 (1,853,954 peak viewers), Singapore will surely add to that legacy.

The 2026 calendar will follow Valve’s plan of staging one Major in Europe and one outside of it, with Singapore filling the non-EU slot next year. For Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia, this is truly a breakthrough for all the fans.
Singapore has already been the pinnacle of huge events like Dota 2‘s The International, but this will be the first time a Counter-Strike Major lands in the region.
Ms. Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive from the Singapore Tourism Board, said, “We look forward with much anticipation to hosting our first Counter-Strike Major in 2026, which will reinforce Singapore as a world-class events destination. As one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Counter-Strike scene, the event promises to attract fans from around the region, and we invite them to also enjoy Singapore’s lifestyle experiences and vibrant energy.”
