Map Veto

Karrigan is always a master of the veto, but given the state of his FaZe roster right now, there isn’t much that he can really play with. So the teams will likely stick to their Mirage and Train vetos, definitely playing into 3DMAX’s wheelhouse.

  1. FaZe removed Train
  2. 3DMAX removed Mirage
  3. FaZe picked Dust2
  4. 3DMAX picked Inferno
  5. 3DMAX removed Overpass
  6. FaZe removed Ancient
  7. Nuke was left over

Match Recap – 3DMAX vs FaZe

Dust2 – FaZe run rampant on the CT side – 13-6

3DMAX locked a pistol win to start the series, and despite broky’s mid doors scout shout, the French squad converted it into a lead. Once guns came out though, FaZe were back on the board, with a broky quad kill on the B site beind a particular highlight. The international side took the lead 6-3. Then on, FaZe managed to take just one more round win, setting them up with a minor lead going into their CT side.

3DMAX found no traction on their attack as Twistzz, Broky and Frozen were all popping off across Dust2, and jcobbb and Karrigan weren’t far behind. Quick as they could, FaZe took matchpoint. But a fumbled kill from karrigan on long, handed a round over to 3DMAX at last. FaZe however weren’t giving 3DMAX much of a chance, as they quickly closed the map out with a B retake.

Inferno – Jcobbb’s breakout map arrived at the right time – 13-5

FaZe started Inferno on the CT side, and jcobbb immediately gave 3DMAX an absolute gut punch with three smooth headshots on the A defence. As guns came out for 3DMAX, the team as able to break into the B site, forcing FaZe to save their rifles. FaZe however were still holding ther lead. That lead only grew larger as 3DMAX were unable to crack a bombsite no matter what they tried. FaZe eventually took a masssive 8-4 lead into the second half.

Another pistol win thanks to a jcobbb quadkill fully rocked the 3DMAX side. FaZe were soon up to 11 rounds, with no response from the French team. The map closed 13-5.

FaZe now head into day four with just one more win needed to make it through to the playoffs. And their opponent will be the former-Complexity core of Passion UA. FaZe look perfectly set up to enter the MVM Dome, surely they won’t falter?
